Amitabh Bachchan was born in Allahabad, India, in 1942. His father, Harivansh Rai Bachchan, was a Hindi poet, and his mother, Teji Bachchan, was a social activist. He went to Sherwood College in Nainital and Kirori Mal College at the University of Delhi to get his education. In the film Bhuvan Shome by Mrinal Sen, which came out in 1969, he was the narrator’s voice.
Amitabh Bachchan is a Bollywood actor, playback singer, film producer, TV host, and former politician. His first movie, Saat Hindustani, came out in 1969.
In 1990, he started his own company to make movies. Because of his roles in Zanjeer, Deewaar, and Sholay, he became a big name in action movies and was called India’s “angry young man.” In the 1980s, Bachchan was a member of the Indian Parliament.

Early Life & Family
Sumitranandan Pant, another poet, told his father to change his son’s name to Amitabh, which means “the light that will never die.”
His father was a well-known Hindi poet who could speak Awadhi, Urdu, and Hindi. His mother was a Punjabi Sikh woman who worked to improve society.
His father, Dr. Harivansh Rai, used Bachchan as a pen name. Dr. Harivansh Rai and his mother, Teji Bachchan, died in 2003 and 2007, respectively.
Teji Bachchan, his mother, was very interested in theatre. She was offered a part in the feature film, but she chose to take care of her family instead.
Amitabh’s mother, Teji Bachchan, had some say in what he did for a living because she always told him to “take center stage.”
Jaya Bhaduri, who works in Indian movies, is Amitabh’s wife. The man and woman have a daughter named Shweta and a son named Abhishek. Shweta is married to Nikhil Nanda, who runs a business. Abhishek, their son, is an actor and married to another actor, Aishwarya Rai.
Amitabh Bachchan went to a boarding school called Sherwood College for high school and college.

Between 1970 and 1980, Amitabh was in about 100 full-length movies. He jumped at the chance to work with Prakash Mehra, one of India’s best-known directors, and he was the best at movies like Sholay, Trishul, and Chashme Buddoor.
In 1971, Amitabh Bachchan was in the movie Anand with Rajesh Khanna. Amitabh’s first Filmfare Best Supporting Actor award was given to him for his role as a doctor.
During this time, Bachchan had a small role in the movie Guddi, which starred Jaya Bhaduri, who would later become his wife.
In 1972, Amitabh was in the road action comedy Bombay to Goa, directed by S. Ramanathan, and did okay at the box office. He told some of the stories in the movie Bawarchi.
